5/29 – MLB – A pair of afternoon totals this Wednesday

Back at it after taking some time off. I'll ease back into the grove with a couple of Wednesday afternoon total plays. See below:

12:35pm: PITTSBURGH PIRATES VS. CINCINNATI REDS (FREE PICK)

PICK: OVER 10.5 (-102)

Both teams showing big over strength lately. It's the reason for the high number, but I'm still taking it.

RISK: 1 UNIT

Loser - Pirates held up their end of the bargain with 7 runs, but CIN could only muster up 2.

1:05pm: SAN DIEGO PADRES VS. NEW YORK YANKEES (FREE PICK)

PICK: UNDER 8 (-102)

Two solid starters here - Paddack (SD), Paxton (NYY) - Bullpens relatively fresh. Low score here on getaway day.

RISK: 1 UNIT

Winner! Although the Yankees put up 7, Paxton and the pen were solid as expected and got the shutout. A little dicey in the 9th when SD loaded the bases with nobody out, but Cortez, Jr. got himself out of it brilliantly.

Good luck, players!
