4/3 – MLB – Four value plays found on Monday’s 12 game card – Triple Trend Formula

Monday's MLB card has 12 games as the season gets underway in earnest.  The Triple Trend Formula (TTF) has identified 4 match ups where an underdog rated higher.

3:05pm: Blue Jays +104 RH Marco Estrada (2016: 9-9, 3.48 ERA) at Orioles -114 RH Kevin Gausman (2016: 9-12, 3.61)

These teams met in the AL wild card game in 2016 with Toronto prevailing.  The TTF gives the Blue Jays a +0.541 rating.  Take TOR for 1 unit.

4:10pm: Royals +101 LH Danny Duffy (2016: 12-3, 3.51 ERA) at Twins -111 RH Ervin Santana (2016: 7-11, 3.38)

Kansas City had a tough season in 2016, but not as bad as 103 loss Minnesota.  A +0.918 TTF match up rating for KC give them excellent value at +101 (1 unit).

7:05pm: Indians +104 RH Corey Kluber (2016: 18-9, 3.14 ERA) at Rangers -114 RH Yu Darvish (2016: 7-5, 3.41)

In their quest to return to the World Series, Cleveland added Edwin Encarnacion to offset the loss of Mike Napoli, who is now with Texas.  You won't likely get Kluber at plus money very often, and the TTF has CLE +o.579 for another value play.  1 unit on the Indians.

8:10pm: Mariners +122 RH Felix Hernandez (2016: 11-8, 3.82 ERA) at Astros -135 LH Dallas Keuchel (2016: 9-12, 4.55)

Houston was active in the offseason, adding several potent veterans, while Seattle's young core is offensive oriented.  With a TTF rating of +0.211, SEA +122 is a solid 1 unit play.

Good luck, players!
