4/21 – MLB – Friday’s top 7 betting opportunities – TTF-based plays

I've picked out my top 7 plays on Friday's schedule after reviewing all 15 TTF match up ratings.

7:05pm: Red Sox -115 LH Drew Pomeranz (1-0, 5.23 ERA) vs. Orioles +105 RH Dylan Bundy (2-1, 1.86)

Boston (10-6) is 6-2 in their last 8.  Baltimore (10-4) returns home after a 6-3 road trip.  BAL gets a favorable +0.771 TTF rating here, so I like them for a unit.

7:05pm: Yankees -107 LH CC Sabathia (2-0, 1.47 ERA) vs. Pirates +103 RH Tyler Glasnow (0-1, 12.15)

The 10-5 Yankees have won 9 of 10 games.  3B Chase Headley is off to a great start with a .396 BA.  Pittsburgh (6-9) is coming off 3 straight 2-1 losses in St. Louis.  All things point to a NYY win, including a massive +5.493 TTF match up advantage.  One unit.

7:10pm: Nationals +122 RH Tanner Roark (2-0, 3.50 ERA) vs. Mets -135 RH Jacob deGrom (0-0, 1.89)

Washington (10-5) has won 4 straight and Bryce Harper is hitting .400 with 6 homers.  The Mets are 8-8, but have lost 5 of their last 6.  I see excellent value here with WAS, given their +0.459 TTF match up advantage.  One unit.

7:10pm: Cubs -190 LH Jon Lester (0-0, 1.00 ERA) vs. Reds +170 RH Tim Adleman (0-0, 2.25)

Chicago (8-7) has won their last two and will look to get Lester his first win tonight.  Cincinnati (9-7) has lost their last two.  With a +1.058 TTF advantage, I'm backing CIN for a unit.

7:10pm: Astros RH Mike Fiers (0-1, 5.40 ERA) vs. Rays RH Alex Cobb (1-1, 4.50)

Houston (11-5) has won 7 of 8.  Tampa Bay (9-8) has won 3 straight and is 8-2 at home.  A +1.362 TTF advantage for the Rays makes them a one unit play.

8:10pm: Tigers -138 RH Justin Verlander (1-1, 5.71 ERA) vs. Twins +125 LH Hector Santiago (1-1, 1.47)

Detroit (8-7) just got swept, 3 games, by Tampa Bay.  Minnesota (7-8) is also coming off a series in which they were swept in 3 games vs. Cleveland.  I like the home standing Twins here with a +2.649 TTF advantage.  One unit.

10:07pm: Blue Jays +131 -145 RH Mat Latos (2016: 7-3, 4.89 ERA) vs. Angels RH Alex Meyer (2016: 1-3, 5.68)

Toronto (3-12) will be looking for just their 2nd road win of the season.  Los Angeles (7-10) has lost 8 of their last 9 games.  TOR is worth a one unit play here with a +1.955 TTF advantage.

Good luck, players!
