4/1 – MLB – It’s April, don’t be a fool and ignore these three value plays for Monday

After the first weekend of play there were surely some surprising outcomes. The trick is how to interpret results relative to out handicapping. I've identified three games this Monday where I feel the odds may not be as sharp as they should be and I'm sharing them. See below:

6:35pm: DETROIT TIGERS VS. NEW YORK YANKEES

DET managed a 2-2 split at TOR, while NYY went 1-2 at home vs. BAL opening weekend. Taking the value here with the Tigers.

PICK: DETROIT TIGERS (+185)

RISK: 1 UNIT

7:07pm: BALTIMORE ORIOLES VS. TORONTO BLUE JAYS

The Hess vs. Reid-Foley SP match up leaves a lot to be desired. Nice value here with BAL coming off a 2-1 opening series at NYY.

PICK: BALTIMORE ORIOLES (+155)

RISK: 1 UNIT

10:10pm: LOS ANGELES ANGELS VS. SEATTLE MARINERS

SEA is now 5-1. A slight dog here vs. the 1-3 LAA? Doesn't make sense to me, I'll jump on it.

PICK: SEATTLE MARINERS (-102)

RISK: 1 UNIT

Good luck, players!
