3/14 – NCAA Tournament – Coach Danny Manning leads Wake Forest vs Kansas State – FSI rates the First Four match ups

Tuesday's NCAA tournament begins with a "First Four" doubleheader that will decide an 11 and a 16 seed.  In the opener, Mt. St. Mary's and New Orleans will play with the winner getting overall #1 seed Villanova.  In the nightcap, Kansas State and Wake Forest battle for an 11th seed that will meet Cincinnati.

The FSI sees a couple of close games as the FSI tables reflect.

The Mount's Elijah Long will likely be the best player on the floor in the opening game, but the Privateer's Erik Thomas might have something to say about that.  New Orleans has played 2 neutral court games this season compared to zero by Mt. St. Mary's.

In the second game, much of the focus will be on Wake Forest's coach, Danny Manning.    Manning's Demon Deacon's will no doubt look to get the ball inside to F John Collins, who averages 18.9 ppg and 9.8 rpg.

Coach Bruce Weber's squad has 5 players averaging 9.4 ppg or better, led by F Wesley Iwundu.

Good luck, players!
