11/22 – NFL – Thanksgiving Day Top Play’s

12:30pm:  CHICAGO BEARS VS. DETROIT LIONS

The Bears come into this one riding a 4 game win streak with one of those victories a 34-22 affair vs. DET in Chicago on Nov. 11.

The Lions are 37-39-2 all time in their traditional Thanksgiving day game.  They lost last year to MIN to snap a 4 game win streak.  Prior to that, they had a 9 game losing streak on Thanksgiving.

Chicago's defense has 27 takeaways already and I expect a few more on Thursday.  I have CHI rated to win here easily.

CRS spread: Bears -22.4

PICK: CHICAGO BEARS -4.5 (-105)

RISK: 3 UNITS

4:30pm:  WASHINGTON REDSKINS VS. DALLAS COWBOYS

There's a lot riding on this game relative to a playoff berth as only the NFC East winner figures to play in the post season.  WAS is currently the leader at 6-4, while DAL comes in at 5-5.  The Redskins beat the Cowboys 20-17 at home back on Oct. 21.

I suppose the line is discounting WAS due to Alex Smith's injury, however, I see no reason to do this with Colt McCoy taking over.  I believe WAS wins this one outright, but I'll certainly take any points the books are willing to give.

CRS spread: Redskins -15.1

PICK: WASHINGTON REDSKINS +7 (+100)

RISK: 3 UNITS

8:20pm:  ATLANTA FALCONS VS. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

No play on the nightcap as I have this one rated very close to the current NO -13 spread.  Therefore, I don't see any betting edge as opposed to the first two games.

Good luck, players!
