10/6 – NCAAF – Saturday’s Top Plays

12:00pm:  MARYLAND VS. MICHIGAN

CRS spread: Michigan -9.325

PICK: MARYLAND +17.5 (-110)

RISK: 1 UNIT

The 3-1 Terrapins have RB Ty Johnson who averages 7.5 yards per carry.  The 4-1 Wolverines counter with Karan Higdon who goes for 6.3 per rush and 5 TD's.

I think MD is too good of a squad to lay this many points.  Take them and then take your cash to the bank.

12:00pm:  CLEMSON VS. WAKE FOREST

CRS spread: Clemson -6.855

PICK: WAKE FOREST +17.5 (-110)

RISK: 2 UNITS

Clemson narrowly escaped defeat last Saturday as they came from behind to defeat BC 27-23 at home to get to 5-0.  QB Trevor Lawrence is questionable (neck) and may be replaced by Chase Brice if he is unable to go.  Wake is led by QB Sam Hartman who has thrown for 10 TD's and 1,185 yards so far.

The Demon Deacons are solid.  This is way too many points to give against them at home in this ACC matchup.

7:00pm:  KENTUCKY VS. TEXAS A&M

CRS spread: Kentucky -4.51

PICK: KENTUCKY +5 (-110)

RISK: 3 UNITS

The surprising 5-0 Wildcats will ride RB Benjamin Snell Jr. as they have all season.  Texas A&M, 3-2, will counter with their own stud RB Trayveon Williams.

UK has answered the bell all season.  A likely outright road win for coach Mark Stoops and Kentucky.

7:30pm:  AUBURN VS. MISSISSIPPI ST

CRS spread: Mississippi St. -1.895

PICK: MISSISSIPPI ST +4 (-110)

RISK: 1 UNIT

The 4-1 Tigers are led by QB Jarrett Stidham and their only blemish is a 1 point loss to LSU.  Senior QB Nick Fitzgerald leads the Bulldogs, who have lost their last two games.

This is Auburn's first game away from home this season.  Expect MSST to give them all they can handle and likely win this one outright.

8:00pm:  NOTRE DAME VS. VIRGINIA TECH

CRS spread: Notre Dame -3.82

PICK: VIRGINIA TECH +6.5 (-110)

RISK: 1 UNIT

Ian Book has thrown 6 TD's without an INT in his two starts for the 5-0 Irish.  Virginia Tech, 3-1, lost to Old Dominion two back gets ND here at home Saturday night.

Brian Kelly's troops may win this one, but it won't be without a fight in what figures to be a hostile environment in Blacksburg.  Take the points.
