11 NBA games on Monday's schedule as we begin the post-Christmas portion of the season. Some believe this is when the NBA season begins in earnest.
My top play tonight is MIL +4.5 over WAS.
This is actually the back-end of a home and home that saw the Bucks (14-14) win 123-96 back in Milwaukee on Friday. In that game, the Wizards (13-16) couldn't stop Giannis Antetokounmpo who scored 38 points, had 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The other half of the young forward tandem, Jabari Parker, added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
Washington had won 4 of 5 entering Friday's contest, so it'll be interesting to see how they respond this evening. They've got the formidable backcourt duo of Wall and Beale, but they aren't playing at a high level right now.
I believe the young Bucks will be energized by a 2 day break, plus the momentum of Friday's impressive victory to take another one tonight.
The FSI rates this one MIL -2.36, so a 2 unit play on the Bucks is in order. I also recommend a comparable ML play with MIL +155.
I want to mention that my highest rated match up per the FSI is the LAC -14.49 vs DEN, but with so many top players out for the Clippers, I can't recommend this game. The FSI does not take personnel into account. Plus, the Clips have let me down the last couple of times out.
