12:15pm - 15 New Mexico St. vs. 2 Kansas -10.5  O/U 131.5

The Aggies are hot, winners of their last 13 games.  The Jayhawks were hoping for a #1 seed, but a loss in the Big 12 Championship game to ISU ended that dream.  They'll win but may not cover.

Kansas 71  New Mexico St. 66

12:40pm - 10 Georgia vs. 7 Michigan St. -6.5  O/U 127

The Bulldogs scored just 49 in their tourney loss to Arkansas.  The Spartans lost to Wisconsin in the Big 10 Championship game.  Coach Tom Izzo will have MSU ready for another March run.

Michigan State 70  Georgia 63

1:40pm - 12 Wyoming vs. 5 Northern Iowa -6.5  O/U 110.5

The UNI Panthers' 30-3 record is impressive.  Seth Tuttle and company will have to be sharp against the Mountain West's Cowboys, but I think they'll prevail and cover.  Hey, you don't win 30 games by accident.

Northern Iowa 65  Wyoming 56

2:10pm - 12 Buffalo vs. 5 West Virginia -4.5  O/U 150

The Bulls under coach Bobby Hurley have won 8 straight.  The Mountaineers under coach Bobby Huggins have dropped 3 of 4.  I smell another upset.

Buffalo 71  West Virginia 70

2:45pm - 10 Indiana vs. 7 Wichita State -6  O/U 140

I don't think the Hoosiers should have made the tournament and although the Shockers lost in the MVC semis, they are a legitimate squad which should take care of business today, but it will be close.  Keep an eye on Wichita's Fred VanVleet.

Wichita State 68  Indiana 65

3:10pm - 15 Belmont vs. 2 Virginia -17  O/U 123.5

The Cavaliers arguably should have had a #1 seed.  They'll have their hands full with a Bruins team that will shoot a plethora of three's.  If they get hot, who knows?  I think Belmont will make enough to cover in a higher scoring game than a lot expect.

Virginia 70  Belmont 65

4:10pm - 13 UC Irvine vs. 4 Louisville -8  O/U 124.5

The Anteaters, out of the Big West, make their first ever NCAA appearance.  Rick Pitino's Cardinals are a fixture in the tourney and should roll in this opener.

Louisville 75  UC Irvine 60

4:40pm - 13 Valparaiso vs. 4 Maryland -4.5  O/U 123.5

The Crusaders have won 10 of their last 11 games while the Terps have taken 8 of their last 9.  Big difference, though, in the competition of the Horizon League vs. the Big 10.  Maryland wins and covers here.

Maryland 71  Valparaiso 61

6:50pm - 9 Oklahoma State vs. 8 Oregon -2  O/U 136

The Cowboys 18-13 record coming out of the Big 12 doesn't look so good after yesterday's poor performance from the conference.  The Ducks were the PAC 12's second best behind Arizona.  Keep an eye on Oregon G Joseph Young.

Oregon 73  Oklahoma State 68

7:10pm - 16 Robert Morris vs. 1 Duke -22.5  O/U 143.5

The pesky Colonials will have a hard time winning the turnover battle in this one.  The Blue Devils are a #1 seed for a reason and it should be evident tonight as Coach K and his squad begin their title quest.

Duke 85  Robert Morris 60

7:20pm - 10 Davidson vs. 7 Iowa -3  O/U 145

The Wildcats have won 10 of 11 and can score points at an impressive clip.  The Hawkeyes have won 6 of 7 and have a defense equipped to contain Davidson which should help Iowa prevail.

Iowa 73  Davidson 67

7:27 - 14 Albany vs. 3 Oklahoma -13  O/U 130.5

The Great Danes won a thriller for the America East crown, but they'll face a Sooner squad that will be looking to shake off a tough Big 12 semifinal loss to Iowa State.  Albany will be in the crosshairs, unfortunately, for them.

Oklahoma 78  Albany 58

9:20pm - 16 Coastal Carolina vs. 1 Wisconsin -19.5  O/U 130

The Chanticleers are a good rebounding team, but that won't be enough against the Badgers, a Big 10 power and #1 seed.  I don't think Coastal Carolina sees players such as Frank Kaminsky in the Big South.

Wisconsin 76  Coastal Carolina 53

9:40pm - 9 St. Johns vs. 8 San Diego State -4  O/U 122

Red Storm coach Steve Lavin will get outcoached by Aztec's coach Steve Fisher.  It doesn't help that St. John's starting C Chris Obekpa is suspended, either.  Strong play.

San Diego State 62  St. John's 54

9:50pm - 15 North Dakota State vs. 2 Gonzaga -17.5  O/U 128.5

The Bulldogs are good but the Bison are solid, too and will look to pull an upset like their win over Oklahoma in last year's tournament.  The 'Zags will advance, but it won't be a cakewalk.

Gonzaga 78  North Dakota State 68

9:57pm - 11 Dayton vs. 6 Providence -2.5  O/U 131

The Flyers had a home game on Wednesday and have to travel just a few miles, in-state for this contest.  Tough spot for a 6th seeded Friars squad.  Plus, Dayton's pretty good, too.

Dayton 67  Providence 65
