What Do Sports Bettors Want?

Those that have been visiting my site know that I've been developing relatively simple sports betting formulas for the past several years, tweaking them now and then as I search for the most relevant underlying statistics and values in predicting the outcomes of games.  My success rate thus far has been adequate, but not extraordinary.  I believe in transparency and give full access to my verified record.  Good and bad.  My ultimate goal is to have sustainable NFL, MLB, NBA, NCAAF and NCAAB formulas that will consistently produce a Return On Investment (ROI) of 20% or greater.  My work is not done by any stretch of the imagination, and that is why I am asking for help from you, the sports bettor.

The answer that I'm currently looking for is very simple, but also very complicated - What do you want?

Obviously, you all want someplace or someone to provide you with winning bets.  I understand that, so I'll be a little more specific.  The following are the questions for which I seek answers.

How do you determine winning?  Is it by winning percentage?  Units?  Return On Investment (ROI)?

Are you willing to pay for picks?  If so, how much?

What sports are you most interested in seeking advice?  NFL, NCAAF, MLB, NBA, NCAAF?

Do you prefer advice on sides or totals?

Do you prefer to get picks by themselves with no narrative?  Do you prefer an explanation?  How detailed?  Do you prefer a statistical based formula?  Do you want to see the whole formula, or just the formula result?

Is a site with a user forum important, or not so much?  Would you contribute to the forum?

If you have taken the time to read this, thank you.  I ask that you comment below so that I can do my best to provide what you want.

Also, if you have a question for me, I will guarantee a response.

Good luck, players!

  1. Great job, my brother! Congratulations!

I think the best way to measure the success in betting is by the ROI. The units are up to each one of us. The winning % may be very good but -regarding to the Moneyline (ML)- could be devastating. And the Totals & ATS is “almost” as flippin’ a coin..

I’d like you to publish the picks and the statistical based formula you used to get those picks so we could learn a little more.

And all of the major sports would be great, but I’m aware it’s a tedious work wich requires a lot of time.

Keep on working like that, brother.

    …Nicely done!
