9/16 – NFL – Sunday’s Top Plays

1:00pm:  CAROLINA PANTHERS VS. ATLANTA FALCONS

CRS spread: Panthers -3.725

PICK: CAROLINA PANTHERS +5.5 (-105)

RISK: 2 UNITS

Matt Ryan was just 21-43 in last Thursday's loss to the Eagles.  Cam Newton tallied just 161 passing yards in the win over Dallas, but he ran for 58 yards.  Take CAR and the points in what figures to be a low scoring affair.

1:00pm:  MIAMI DOLPHINS VS. NEW YORK JETS

CRS spread: Jets -17.97

PICK: NEW YORK JETS -3 (-105)

RISK: 3 UNITS

Sam Darnold gets his first regular season start at home and should be fine as Miami's defense isn't necessarily any better that Detroit's.  Ryan Tannehill threw two picks in Sunday's win over Tennessee. Many may not be sold on NYJ's week 1 performance.  I am, take the Jets.

1:00pm:  KANSAS CITY CHIEFS VS. PITTSBURGH STEELERS

CRS spread: Chiefs -16.475

PICK: KANSAS CITY CHIEFS +5 (-105)

RISK: 3 UNITS

Patrick Mahomes threw for 4 TD's as KC put up 38 points in their week 1 win vs. the Chargers, but the defense gave up 28.  Meanwhile, Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers could manage just a 21-21 tie with CLE, even as RB James Conner rushed for 135 yards and 2 TD's.  Chiefs roll here as an underdog.

1:00pm:  PHILADELPHIA EAGLES VS. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

CRS spread: Buccaneers -25.92

PICK: TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS +3 (+105)

RISK: 3 UNITS

Ryan Fitzpatrick out-dueled Drew Brees last week in a 48-40 road victory over the Saints.  Meanwhile, Nick Foles looked very ordinary as the Eagles edged the Falcons in the season opener at home.  Bad spot for PHI in TB here.  All in on the Bucs.

4:25pm:  OAKLAND RAIDERS VS. DENVER BRONCOS

CRS spread: Broncos -16

PICK: DENVER BRONCOS -5.5 (-110)

RISK: 2 UNITS

Jon Gruden's Raiders looked a little lost in Monday's loss to the Rams.  Both starting QB's, Derek Carr and Case Keenum threw 3 INT's in their openers, but Keenum had 3 TD's to Carr's 0.  No chance for OAK in Denver (altitude) in week 2.  Easy cover.

Good luck, players!
