5/5 – Wizards at Hawks

8pm - Washington at Atlanta -7  O/U 200.5

The Wizards continue to impress in the postseason and they have yet to lose in these playoffs.  The Hawks come in as the East's #1 seed, but they find themselves desperate for a win after dropping the series opener 104-98 on Sunday.

Washington's backcourt tandem of John Wall and Bradley Beal may be the best in the NBA.  At least they have been playing like it lately.  C Marcin Gortat is establishing himself as a quality big man and F Paul Pierce just continues to hit big shots and perform at a high level.

The Hawks looked like the 60 win regular season team they are taking a 63-53 lead into halftime of game 1, however they couldn't sustain it and ended up losing.  They'll need a better effort from their backcourt as Jeff Teague and sharpshooter Kyle Korver both struggled.  F DeMarre Carroll was the lone bright spot with 24 points in the opener.

Hard to see Atlanta losing the first 2 at home, but who am I to go against the Wizards.  The Hawks may have a slight frontcourt edge with Carroll, Paul Millsap and Al Horford, but the Wizards guard tandem and all around team athleticism has gotten them to this point and I don't see them slowing down.

Washington 105  Atlanta 103
