5/24 – Lightning at Rangers

8pm - Tampa Bay +125 at New York Rangers -135  O/U 5

The Rangers completely outplayed the Lightning in game 4 to tie the series up at 2 games a piece heading into Sunday night's game 5 at Madison Square Garden.  With a combined 25 goals in the last 3 games, this has turned into a surprisingly high scoring series.

Not only did goalie Big Ben Bishop show some signs of weakness in game 4, but the potent Tampa Bay offense was held in check scoring just once.  I think Bishop will be OK, but getting untracked against the likes of Ranger goalie Henrik Lundqvist will be a tough task for Tyler Johnson, Steven Stamkos, Ondrej Palat and company.

LW Rick Nash got his first points of the series with a pair of goals and an assist Friday night.  This should be a good sign for the Blueshirts as the series goes deeper.

Now that all the goal scorers have gotten a taste of finding the net, I think the scores will stay higher rather than lower.  Therefore, I like the over in this one.  The Lightning won game 2 at MSG so they know they can do it, but this key game 5 won't be handed over easily by New York.

I like Lundqvist to win the goaltending battle vs. Bishop and with the Rangers new found scoring punch, I like them to ride the momentum to another win.

New York Rangers 4  Tampa Bay 2
