1/30 – NBA Action

7pm - Minnesota -4.5 at Philadelphia  O/U 193

The Timberwolves beat the Celtics on Wednesday to snap a 5 game losing skid.  The Sixers beat the Pistons by 20 on Wednesday to halt a 6 game losing streak.  Both teams are still in single digits in wins but I believe Philly gets number 10 tonight at home behind Carter-Williams and the young guns.

Philadelphia 90  Minnesota 89

7:30pm - Portland at Atlanta -6.5  O/U 204

The Blazers have lost 3 of 4 games and 6 of their last 8.  The Hawks just continue to win with 17 straight victories and 31 of 33.  Atlanta has failed to cover large spreads the last 2 games, but this one is a little more reasonable, albeit against a quality Portland squad.

Atlanta 103  Portland 95

7:30pm - Houston -6.5 at Boston  O/U 206.5

The Rockets have won 3 straight and 4 of 5.  The Celtics return home from a 3-3 road trip.  No Howard for Houston, but they are playing well enough without him and I like them against Boston in their first game back from an extended roadie.

Houston 104  Boston 95

7:30pm - Toronto -7 at Brooklyn  O/U 197

The Raptors have won 4 in a row and 5 of 6 with DeRozan back in the fold.  The Nets have lost 3 in a row and 4 of 5.  The rivalry that was expected after last year's 7 game playoff series has gotten a little sidetracked as the Nets have faltered, but I think Brooklyn will keep it close tonight.

Toronto 103  Brooklyn 98

7:30pm - Sacramento at Cleveland -8  O/U 203

The Kings have lost 7 in a row.  The Cavs have won 8 straight games.  James likely will sit this one out for Cleveland, but it doesn't help Sacramento's cause that Cousins is questionable with an ankle injury.  Cav's still have Irving and Love, I'll back them at home.

Cleveland 104  Sacramento 94

8pm - L.A. Clippers -6 at New Orleans  O/U 199

The Clippers have won 6 straight.  The Pelicans lost to the Nuggets on Wednesday but won 4 straight prior to that.  Davis is questionable with a groin injury which leads me to back the Clippers and give the points here.

L.A. Clippers 107  New Orleans 99

8pm - Dallas -8.5 at Miami  O/U 190.5

The Mavs have lost 4 in a row.  The Heat lost to the Bucks on Tuesday after winning 2 straight.  Without Wade and Deng, I don't see Bosh winning this one by himself.  Dallas gets back on the winning track.

Dallas 107  Miami 95

9pm - Golden State -10 at Utah  O/U 205.5

The Warriors lost in OT to the Bulls on Tuesday after winning 5 straight.  The Jazz have lost 2 in a row after winning a pair.  Utah is 8-14 at home and will find it tough going against the firepower of Golden State.

Golden State 111  Utah 97

10:30pm - Chicago at Phoenix -6.5  O/U 211.5

The Bulls lost in 2OT to the Lakers last night after winning at Golden State in OT on Tuesday.  The Suns beat the Wizards on Wednesday after losing a pair.  Going to be tough to come back after last night's game.  Butler is probable with a knee injury.

Phoenix 110  Chicago 100
